What this data measures

A scatterplot of retail electricity prices versus the share of generation from each fuel source, for each US state. This explores how reliance on different generation sources relates to electricity prices across states.

How this data is constructed

Retail electricity price data come from EIA Form EIA-861 (inflation-adjusted). Generation source shares are computed from Form EIA-923 data. Each dot represents one state in the selected year.
